It was such a pleasure to work with Honor and Daniel this past year on their custom letterpress wedding suite. They will be getting married in May at Honor’s parents beautiful barn in Pennsylvania. Inspired by Jeff and Amber’s suite, Honor asked if I could create a custom illustration of the barn. Starting with a double sided save the date postcard, we combined the barn with an old style typeface and used a natural color palette of green and slate gray. For the invitation, the addition of the stone wall, fence and trees completes a look that is simple, rustic and sophisticated.

happy spring

Spring is here (despite the snowy landscape here in VT) and it’s time to do some clean-up in the shop.

I am planning big changes to the ready-made collection, which means most of the cards and prints will be discontinued, so stock up now!

recent work: letterpress business cards

I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve posted any new custom work and with such a busy wedding season, there is so much to share! But before we get into weddings, I am really excited about these super clean and sophisticated business cards. Alex was interested in a thick black card stock and decided to go with 2-ply museum board. His minimal logo was printed with black ink, which is so subtle and a great contrast to the silver ink on the back. I LOVE how these turned out!

sun and sand

cancun

We’re back from our short, sun-filled trip to Mexico with some pics to share. We met Fred’s parents there and most of our time was spent on the beautiful beaches of Cancun and Isla Mujeres, a small island off the coast. For us Vermonters, this is the ideal way to get a break from the long winter. After our trip to San Miguel and Mexico City last year, and our recent getaway to the Yucatan, I am very tempted to make this a tradition.

Enjoy the weekend, everyone!

new for valentine’s day

Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! And this simple and sweet i love you card is now available in the shop. So go spread some love!

In other news, this little blog is three years old today! I can’t believe I started with these posts back in January 2010, right before we left for our amazing trip to Argentina and Uruguay. Gosh, time flies. And I want to thank you all for following me on this creative journey. Your support means everything and I’m excited to continue to have this space to ‘meet’ and share and grow. XO

Back in November, I participated in The Vermont Wedding Affair, held at The Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms. It was a beautiful event and delight to be able to meet with so many brides in person. Another big highlight for me was the chance to meet and chat with so many talented local vendors. A couple whose work I really admire are 822 Weddings, a husband and wife team who produce stunning movies and photographs, and Erin Ostreicher Designs, a wonderful floral designer. Whether you’re planning a Vermont wedding or not, their work is sure to inspire!
